Businesses are fond of honoring military members and veterans on Veterans Day. Some of the freebies that veterans have enjoyed every other year including car washes, free meals, oil changes, haircuts, and free entrance to national parks, zoos and museums. 1. Free entrance to national parks
If you are a nature lover, you will be excited to know that you can enjoy free entrance to national parks this year. More than 100 national parks will waive their fees on November 11 this year.
2. Free SeaWorld admission
Military men and women in active duty alongside veterans will get free admission to one of the largest theme parks in the world; SeaWorld. The offer is valid only for people who can prove that they serve in Military or have served previously. However, you will not get free admission at the gate, so you should first register on the site’s link.
3. Aquarium of the Pacific Free Admission
This year, the Aquarium of the Pacific will be honoring Veterans Day by admitting those with proof of military membership for free into the park. The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The park is in Long Beach, CA.
4. Free admission to Mount Vernon
This year on November 11, veterans and active militants will get free entrance into Mount Vernon from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will require proof of having served the military before receiving admission. You can pick up the tickets when you arrive. The scenic place is in VA.
5. Free admission to Newseum
Newseum is located in Washington DC. This year on Veterans Day, they will be offering free admission to both veterans and active military personnel. They will be allowed them to bring one guest. So, you can bring your loved one with you. The offer will last all weekend long.
